Not So Bad Brownstone Topper on Huntington
The photo at left is an architectural rending of what the new Huntington Street condos–between Court and Smith–will look like when completed (right now there is a big blue tarp in place of the top floor windows). I know that raising the roof on brownstones has been an issue in the past, but I think this topper isn’t that much of an eyesore, which is my backhanded way of saying I think it’s OK.
It looks like all the units are still available with the top floor coming in at $795,000 for a 2 bed/2 bath/roofdeck, the garden apartment for $795,000 for 2 bed/2 bath/garden and what I’m guessing is the in between for $675,000 for 2 bed/2 bath. How do they fit all this in there?

Wishful thinking in this market.
If the building is 20×40, they are talking less than 700 sq ft of livable space with the hallway and stairway. >$900 a square foot for a dark street facing the tall building across the street!
they are actually doing a nice job, but this from an architect / broker couple that made tons of money in the past are are way played out… cut the prices in half, and they might get a bite…same for that idiot from staten island who developed 150 nelson street and is asking 1.3 million for a basement duplex..lol
i have been to this place for a viewing, its a decent project but the space it VERY tight, the location is mediocre at best this all units are WAY WAY WAY overpriced.
that nelson street guy is a total moron and idiot…maybe there’s something in the water over
in staten. where’s the listing for that?
otherwise i think they did a nice job here on huntington.
