A Brooklyn Life

Back in 1981, long before the iPod and when I was a young lad, my mother purchased a Sony Walkman. I’d steal it from her when I’d go off to bed and sit for hours listening to my limited collection of cassette tapes. One of my favorites was the soundtrack to "Blade Runner," a movie which had lasting impact in my dreams and visions of what the future might bring. (Yes, I know "Blade Runner" was about a dystopian L.A. of the future.)

This week, imunderpressure returns with his second mix for ABL:Radio. It begins with a track from the "Blade Runner" soundtrack (Esper Edition) and swiftly moves into a pleasing set of Italo, disco, and 80’s funk ‘n soul. You’ll recognize some tracks from previous mixes, but there are plenty you haven’t heard here, too.  This mix is exactly the headphone candy I would’ve loved on that old Sony, whether slipping off into dream land or rambling around the streets.
