ABL:Radio – Barbicide – Mixed by Bethany

It feels like eons since Bethany last graced us with a mix. Since that time, she has steadily fed her vinyl addiction with more tantalizing Italo, euro-electro and dark disco records. This mix could’ve been a perfect soundtrack for that favorite classic anime, "Galaxy Express 999," a movie chock full of interesting androids, cyborgs and robots.

Regular ABL:Radio listeners will notice "Permanent Wave" by Brooklyn’s own Ladycréme around the beginning of the last half. Enjoy!

Update: Bethany pointed out that "A Cambria Heights Affair" is by another Brooklynite, Nick Chacona. I wonder if the track name is a hat-tip to 70’s Brooklyn disco/funk group Crown Heights Affair.

Yeah! Great to see Bethany hasn’t forgotten us. I’m digging it so far. Just got to the Chateau Flight track, which is a favorite of mine. Nice.
I should be finishing up my next mix soon. Maybe for next week if Dennis can allow it.
    Thanks for this one, Bethany.
