One of my favorite West Village stores is coming to Smith Street: Flight 001. In a parallel thought, I am spending the week in L.A. and posts may be sporadic. Expect to hear from La Penguina, BeatsMe and Dennis, and I’ll try my best to add appropriate Brooklyn thoughts of wisdom from the West Coast.

    I didn’t even wish you a good trip last night – whoops. Too busy staring at the airplane/fireflies in the sky.

    Flight 001 is going into the former Valencia Bakery space, which they’ve been clearing out over the last few months. The signage is still there – I’m curious to see whether Flight 001 will tear it down (hopefully not) or leave it, as so many retro hipster places are doing lately.
