ABL:Radio - Transude - Mixed by Rich Woods

| | Comments (13)

Rich_woods Brooklyn resident, Rich Woods makes his bold return to ABL:Radio with another superbly eccentric odyssey into techy, clubby NYC house. You will remember his previous mix, "Sardonic" which appeared on our podcast back in June. This mix takes a different path, avoiding the dark and deep while pushing a more driving beat guaranteed to get your ass on a dance floor absolving yourself of last week's sins.

If you like what you heard here, you should definitely go check out Rich Woods at Pacha NYC on Saturday August 19th. He will be playing along side DJs Manny Freytes and Burchan downstairs while Danny Tenaglia owns the decks upstairs. I don't often find myself with the urge to do much big-time clubbing much these days, but this actually looks intriguing enough to send me out.

One final reminder, our very own DJ Adam Smith and our good friend Kendra are playing the Bunker party at Subtonic. Last time Adam tore the roof off the place about half-way through his set.

Rich-

I've been subscribed to the ABL radio podcast since the start and have to admit this was a very good set. Looking forward to your next!

I really like this, yes. My limited purchasing ventures into this realm have led me to Farben's Starbox 4EP collection on Klang, which is way more minimal than most of the stuff here, but still very good.

Especially pleasing is the track that's playing around 53:30... which is that?

Thanks! :)

That's the Joris Voorn.

It reminds me of DT @ Vinyl circa 2000-2001. The track came out Dec of last year.

Nice electronica, but hardly a dance music set.

Rich Woods said:

Glad you liked it Ron.

Everyone dances to what moves them.

Cheers. :)

We hate republicans, especially Rich Woods and his mind boggling mixes. Dont download this if you want to continue thinking for yourself. Rich Woods will get deep into your cerebral cortex and take over most of your senses. Beware. Be Warned. Be Scared. Woods is a threat to mankind.

Whoa! Rich rocked it last night at Pacha! I gave up the big club thing a long time ago, but this night turned my opinions around. Had a hard time choosing between Danny Tenaglia upstairs and Rich downstairs. I haven't been out that late in a long time.
