    I was out at the Clone records (Alden Tyrell,Serge, and Dexter) show last night. Bethany was definitely there in spirit with rest of us robots. Thanks B, Loving the the mix!

    I read recently that Sylvester’s “Do You Wanna Funk” was written while he was dying of AIDS in the hospital. That from Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, anyway.

    brian, you may be thinking of Patrick Cowley? I think Sylvester lived for a few more yeas after that record.

    Wikipedia says:
    Sylvester died of complications from AIDS on December 16, 1988. His good friend Jeanie Tracy took care of Sylvester during his last days.

    He was recording it with Patrick Cowley, either just before Patrick Cowley died or was very sick during.
    Makes the music even more immense for me.
