Boylan Love

Published by Erin at 3:02 pm under Food and Drink

BolandI must be in a good mood, and I think it’s due to the copious amount of Boylan’s sodas I consume. All of Boylan’s sodas are good, but I’m a seltzer girl myself, and I’m convinced I have never tasted a better seltzer.  The lemon has just a hint of the fruit–without overdoing the flavor and making it taste like a lemon-flavored soap, a problem I find many seltzers face; the orange, my particular favorite, goes all the way with its citrusy taste, and damn is it refreshing. I saw the Boylan’s truck delivering this morning on Court Street, and my heart skipped a beat.

For what a Boylan seltzer lover might consider a porn shot, go here.

Oh, and a  local writer gets crushed on. [via Gawker]

Can you please do a feature on that distiguished, leathery gentleman who passes his days on the corner of Third Place and Court, next to that monument.
    Thank you.

I always thought that guy WAS the monument. Get in line, I already requested an update on another neighborhood legend – Artie Sunshine.

if you really love the seltzer, can I recommend this item I got as a gift from my girlfriend?:

I make my own seltzer, I use their syrups but use less to make some of them less sweet and I soon hope to start making my own syrups and experimenting with other things to mix.
But last night we walked by Juniors so I bought 2 of those Egg Cream glasses, some U-Bets chocolate syrup and then some milk. Came home, made some brand new fresh extra sparkly seltzer, and had the best Chocolate Egg Creams possible. Highly recommended!

Dan, that’s awesome!! I may have to get one of those!
I love Boylans seltzer. It’s difficult to find in my nabe, so I stick with Vintage, though noone seems to carry the cherry, which is my favorite.
