Cats with Stuff
At the risk of becoming my mother (a woman so obsessed with her cats that she hires a cat "sitter" to come twice a day when she goes on vacation), I present two of the oft-cited and rather funny cat websites floating around the internet. To make it a little more fun, I drank half a bottle of wine and tried to catch my own cats in the act. I was more successful with stuffonmycat than with catsinsinks. Cats, it seems, don't like to be put in sinks when it's not their idea. Whereas, if you catch them in the right mood, they're not that upset when you put stuff on top of them. (All photos enlarge when you click 'em.)
My take on cats in sinks. I couldn't get Winston to stay in the sink long enough for a photo, but he did enjoy sitting outside the sink. I did briefly manage to coerce Sebastian into the bathroom sink. Still, they're not nearly as cute as this little guy or these two.
Neither cat seemed to mind too terribly the addition of the Cancun hat. But again, how to compete with the cuteness of this stuffed animal-loving kitty or the novel appeal of "Paddy."
In the process, however, I think I discovered something with much more potential. I call it "Stuff on My Husband."

Dont forget Infinitecat.com
Those are just too cute.
Idgie wouldn't deign to sit in a sink... she just sits at the edge and waits for someone to turn the water on. Though of course, she's not too high and mighty to refrain from drinking out of the toilet. :)

Actually, Peter's girlfriend's cat, Luca, doesn't mind the tub ... see the post http://aguyinnewyork.com/archives/2005/08/catblogging.php

we recently got a new kitten. once she was big enough, she began sleeping in the bathroom sink. i thought it was completely bizarre and unique. within a few weeks, our older cat who had never slept in this or any other sink, started sleeping in there too! so not only did i recently discover cats like sinks but i also learned where the term "copycat" came from!
