Subway Reads Part I
With my two 45-minute subway rides between Brooklyn and midtown every day, I’m always looking for that next good book. To help other diversion-seekers like myself, I’m starting a weekly roundup of the books I’ve spotted other people reading on the subway. If you’re so inclined, please send me what you’re reading, and I’ll post.
Writing on Drugs by Sadie Plant.
The Master and the Margarita by Mikhael Bulgakov.
Pirates and the Lost Templar Fleet by David Hatcher Childress.
Raw Spirit by Ian Banks.
Two Women by Martina Cole.
Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris.
On my lap: Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson.
I’ve included Amazon links, but if you live in the neighborhood, I highly recommend buying books at Book Court at 163 Carroll Court Street at Dean Street.

I moved out of Cobble Hill in mid-2002, but don’t you mean Book Court at 163 Court Street (not Carroll Street)? Either way, it’s a great bookstore. I miss it.
Yeah, I think she meant Court St.
master & margarita is one of my favorite books. it is so strange… have you read it?
